Role:

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional Development Manager to work alongside the Trust’s Senior Management Team to develop proposals and write strategic bids which will support the aims of Groundwork NE & Cumbria and grow the operations

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm and drive to achieve business targets, along with a track record of successfully sourcing and securing income through funding applications and tender opportunities.  You will use your excellent communications to engage partners in developing our diverse range of services. You will manage our funding pipeline and ensure that Groundwork’s strategic funding proposals are well coordinated and are of the highest quality. A confident networker you will represent Groundwork externally and support our project teams’ engagement with key funders in order to initiate and strengthen our relationships.

Educated to degree level or equivalent you will have extensive experience of writing complex, coherent and compelling bids to a range of organisations and programme funders, and be able to demonstrate considerable success in consistently securing contracts and grants. You will have a keen attention to detail, and an ability to pull together technical input from across the organisation often to tight timescales. We are seeking an individual who has the ambition and skill to identify opportunities and raise significant funds and who enjoys the challenge this brings.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of our business and raise the profile of Groundwork across the North East and Cumbria.
