National Citizen Service

Sessional Worker Vacancies £7.33 per hour

Come and work with Catch22 and be part of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that helps young people build skills for work and life, while taking on new challenges and meeting new friends.

As a sessional worker you will be responsible for working with a group of 15 young people on exciting programmes during the school holidays. Young people have a short time away from home at residentials and will take part in a team project that will help out in their community.

You will be responsible for working directly with young people to support their development and progression through each stage of the NCS.

Catch22 is part of the National Citizen Service Network, which provides young people in Years 11 and 12, from all backgrounds, and with varying abilities, with the opportunity and support to take on new challenges, learn new skills and make a difference.

In the North East of England we will be offering the National Citizen Service to young people in Newcastle, Sunderland, North and South Tyneside, Gateshead and Northumberland.

We work with troubled and vulnerable young people, families and offenders. We help them to steer clear of crime or substance misuse, do the best they can in education or employment, and play a full part in their family or community.

Our goal is to deliver social benefit by turning chaotic lives around.

‘No matter what difficulty people are in, there is always a way forward. Our history and experience of working with people in tough situations spans over 200 years, giving us the skills and know-how to find solutions that work.’
